With over twenty years of experience as an artist, designer and creative collaborator, Ellie has helped shaped theatre, exhibitions, and immersive experiences across the UK and internationally. Her work is frequently responsive to site and centred on community, creating experiences that are both intimate and epic in scale.

Previously as an associate artist and designer for Wildworks Theatre she has contributed to pivotal and celebrated productions including The Passion of Port Talbot with National Theatre Wales and Michael Sheen, Wolf’s Child in Norfolk and Cornwall, Once & Twice Upon a Castle in Belgium, A Great Night Out in Sunderland, I AM KEVIN as both live show in Cornwall and film production, Stranger Beasts in Cornwall, and many more.

As a Lead Designer for major seasonal programmes at Eden Project, Ellie has delivered ambitious public events in collaboration with national and international partners, specifically those centred on ecological resilience with projects such as Earth Story. Other commissioners include Historic Royal Palaces and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Ellie’s studio practice as a painter and printmaker exists in conversation with her design work. She has exhibited locally in Cornwall and nationally and received commissions for site-specific projects such as Random Acts of Art with Kneehigh Theatre during the Covid lockdowns and The Compton Skyline Project in Brighton, in addition to various gallery-based exhibitions. Her work is also held in private and public collections including Battersea Arts Centre Artists’ Rooms.

Collaboration sits at the heart of her practice, with landscape, with communities and with fellow creatives. She is driven by the transformative potential of shared making and by the quiet and dramatic ways art can reshape our understanding of place, perception, and one another. This new adventure with DAUR marks the beginning of an exciting journey, building on two decades of experience to create work that is responsive, ambitious, and firmly grounded in context, kindness and collaboration.
